Description: The article examines the role of hygiene and food related behaviors, nutritional status, and age as risk factors for diarrheal disease in preschool children and their mothers in Nepal. The objectives of the study are: to identify risk factors for diarrheal disease, to examine the pathways through which the risk factors affect diarrhea rates, and to determine areas for intervention based on the results of the previous two objectives.
