One Sentence Summary: The article is a research study of Nepalese perception towards self.

Description: The article is a research study of Nepalese perception towards self. The self may be thought of as an "image" - the impression it makes on others. The "self-image" is referred as to the impression aspect of the self. It is a product of our interaction with others. This study gives a comparative picture of Nepalese self-perception between 1981 and 1993. The article includes the table of sample of people by the distribution of respondents by ecological regions and residence, by gender, and by mother-tongue. The research was based on the respondents' indication of their own position and that of a friend who is a businessman when they were administered the self-anchoring scale. The findings of the study reveals that Nepal has not been able to free itself from the syndrome of underdevelopment. (Rajeev Ranjan Singh 2006-10-24)
