Description:
A folder with maps of the counties in Dkar mdzes (Ch. Ganze) Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China. The maps are taken from the place name directories (di ming lu) published in China in the 1980s. The folder includes 9 full color reproductions of 2 county maps (Seda, Danba) and black and white xerox copies of 16 county maps (Seda, Litang, Batang, Xiangcheng, Daocheng, Derong, Shiqu, Baiyu, Xinlong, Ganzi, Luhuo, Yajiang, Jiulong, Danba, Luding, and Kangding). The maps give the locations of major towns and villages, but rarely include monasteries. (Ben Deitle 2009-08-17)
