Title: Buddhism and science : allies or enemies?
Author/Creator: Phinit Rattanakun

Description: This essay discusses the areas where Buddhism and science converge, what they can learn from each other, and what will remain unique to each in terms of issues of causality, morality, and the pursuit of understanding and truth. On the whole, the author says, Buddhism and science are largely in accord. Buddhists, he suggests, need only refine their own truths in light of scientific discovery, and reject attempts in science to look at the human or behavior from an exclusively materialistic perspective. Science has no way of speaking about morality and could learn something from Buddhism. (Zach Rowinski 2004-05-24)
