Tibetan Village Project (www.tibetanvillageproject.org) is leading a trip to Tibet from June 17 through July 7, 2006. This is a cultural immersion opportunity in which participants will join Tibetan Village Project staff and guides as they travel to rural villages in Central Tibet in an effort to support healthcare, education and community development projects. This journey is for anyone who is interested in expanding their perspective, deepening their sense of self, strengthening their ties to the global community, and cultivating new skills and friendships in the rugged and exotic land known as the "rooftop of the world". Tibetan Village Project is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to alleviating poverty and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Tibet.
For more information e-mail: info@tibetanvillageproject.org, or visit the Tibetan Village Project website, which provides details and an application form. Total cost of the program (including round-trip airfare between Los Angeles and Lhasa) is $3850.
