Nepal Census Data 2001
These census data were extracted from the disc “National Census 2001,” which was produced by the Department of Statistics of His
Majesty’s Government, Nepal. Members of the Digital Himalaya team used Microsoft Excel to sort census data for Nepal’s seventy-five districts
down to the level of Village Development Committee (VDC, which number 3900+). Through the data finder below, 1991 and 2001 district-level
population data are also available. This same data can also be found at www.cbs.gov.np.
