In front of you, you see a row of mani-wheels. Zoom out and you will see the three stories of monks’ rooms. Before 1959 Epa was a regional house. Today this compound is Sera’s retirement home, where elderly monks may live when they reach the age of 65. Pan to the right and you will see the stairs leading to the temple (next to the tree).
